Elaine Hirschl Ellis replied, “My inspiration came from a deep fascination with the origins of the Arts & Crafts Movement and the people who shaped it. In the early 1990s, I recognized that there was a growing community of individuals eager to explore the movement beyond books and museum exhibitions. I wanted to create opportunities for people to experience these places firsthand.
Since founding Arts & Crafts Tours, my vision has remained consistent which is to provide intellectually engaging, educational, and enjoyable travel experiences that reveal the artistic, architectural, and cultural contexts behind important historical movements. Every itinerary is carefully designed to offer meaningful access, expert guidance, and memorable experiences that deepen participants’ understanding of the arts.”
